Padel venues in SA

If you haven’t heard of Padel, watch a few You Tube videos of the World Padel Tour and you will immediately be intrigued by the sport. Described as a mix of Tennis and Squash, this sport is certainly becoming the talk of the Town.

Padel was founded in Mexico in 1969, but it is a new sport to South Africa, with the first court launched at Val de Vie Estate in Paarl in late 2019. There are currently 10 sites in South Africa where you can play, with a total of 22 courts. However, there are numerous courts currently under construction all around South Africa.

So where can you play the sport now?

Below is a list of the current courts in South Africa, with many currently in the pipeline, so keep an eye out on this website for news of more courts.

The first one I played on is in Halfway House, Midrand around about the year 2000. Search Brolaz Projects address, or more recently, bought up by Curro New Road in Midrand. The court is in a basement..
