The APT Padel Tour is an international Padel circuit which was created in 2020 to promote the game of Padel around the world.
This professional tour currently visits 12 countries around the world, almost double that of the WPT (World Padel Tour) and this year will be adding 1 more country to their list, South Africa! The APT is currently held in Paraguay, Monaco, Belgium, Argentina, United States, France, Mexico, Spain, Finland, Switzerland, Portugal, Sweden and now it is coming to South Africa!
The APT tour will be taking place in Cape Town from the 18th to 24th April 2022 and is proudly hosted by Africa Padel in Camps Bay. The beautiful city of Cape Town will be the location for the inaugural APT Masters.
There will be 44 teams competing, 28 in the men’s section and 16 in the women’s. South African Padel players will get the opportunity to compete in this tournament, as a wild card is being offered to one SA team. The qualifying games for this will be taking place at Africa Padel between the 15th and 17th April.
The total prize money for this tournament is $135 000, currently just under R2m.
